Sometimes, you need someone to remind you why you are chasing stars.
Last night, Quincy Jones reminded me, through a documentary about his life, how hard it is to remain truthful to your dreams.
His story inspired me. It’s possible to fight for your passion even though everything’s against it.
Until 2 years and a few months ago, Diana and I had no idea about what we’re doing now. On top of that, we had no interest in tech. I mean, yes, we were up to date with new tech innovations and startups, but we weren’t interested in being part of this world.
I’m an actress, so you can imagine… I aimed more at being in Hollywood rather than getting to Silicon Valley. But I always wanted to bring people together and this desire only grew over the years. I didn’t know how to fight for this.
The answer came when I was first taking a trip to NYC and I had the right person besides me who dreams bigger than herself, Diana.
And here we are, leaving our lives behind, learning new and more new things every day, giving the best of us and getting closer to our dream. This journey, I have to admit, is mind blowing and it brings with it a lot of questions and insecurities to fight against.
Last week, Diana and I had the great chance to talk to a wonderful woman who gave us advices about our communication. We understood that our message is a bit unclear.
Because we found on the Internet all the do’s and don’ts, we followed the do’s, and we lost our message just so we can create a “catchy” communication.
We were trying to promise meaningful interactions, unique experiences and so on. Of course, this is what we intend to achieve.
But because we used other apps, we realized that perception is subjective.
Amazing experiences and interactions only depend on you and the people you’re meeting, your experiences and expectations.
Choosing the right activities together can lead to something meaningful.
If this will happen is not up to us, it’s totally up to you!
Our only promises are to do our best to make the app work, to improve it and to take care of your safety.
Our goal is to make it easier for people to embrace and be embraced in a local community. With Hiphoster we want to make it easier for travelers to interact with locals through socializing and cooperation.
Thank you for your feedback and please keep it coming! It gives us strength and courage to go on!
